Christine St. Peter was Professor and first Chair of the Women’s Studies Department at the University of Victoria. She served on administrative, research and policy-making committees at the local, regional and national levels. She won awards for Excellence in Teaching and in Research. Her particular areas of study were Irish Women’s Fiction, the Feminist Health Movement and Women/Food Anthropology.
